Solar Still Makes Sense in 2020

Solar Still Makes Sense in 2020

Solar Energy in Australia has been a story of significant growth over the decade. Since 2009 cumulative capacity of Solar in Australia has grown from nearly zero to 18,583,305 KWs in June 2020 (as per the Australian PV Institute). To put that into context that is enough power to run an off the shelf light bulb for around 371,666,100 hours. But, is it still worth it to by Solar for your home or Business in 2020?

Hot Kitchen Trends This Year

The kitchen is considered the heart of every home. With everyone forced to stay indoors to slow down the spread of COVID-19, kitchens are seeing more traffic than any place in the house.  In addition to preparing meals, most people prefer to eat, talk, and even work at the kitchen table, a reason you might want to consider a kitchen renovation. Depending on the condition of your kitchen, a few simple upgrades should give it a fresh new look and improved functionality.

THE KAMILAROI Highway south of Boggabri has been reopened in both directions after a serious car crash closed the road earlier on Tuesday.

LiveTraffic NSW shows the highway is now open to northbound and southbound traffic after a car rolled before 1pm on Tuesday, sparking a multi-agency response.

The driver of the car was seriously injured and has been flown by helicopter to Tamworth hospital for treatment.

Motorists should exercise caution when passing through the stretch of highway four kilometres south of Boggabri.

Roy’s Round-Up 25 May 2020

Hi Folks,

Ever since the start of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions my team and I have been dealing with the community fall out. Changes made on the fly always have unintended  consequences, consequences that have a negative impact on our community. We’ve been working hard to sort these issues out and lobby the Government for changes on your behalf, I’m pleased to say we have had a lot of success in this area, changing the Health Orders on many occasions to work better for Barwon.

After the year we’re having it’s important to stop and ask yourself and those around you R U OK?

On 10 September as a Nation we come together and ask that question, but it’s important that we keep asking and keep checking in with each other. Times are getting better in Barwon, the crops are looking great and the stock numbers are back on the rise – but never assume that this means mentally everyone’s OK. So ask the question R U OK? and be prepared to stop, listen and provide support.

This past weekend I have been on the road with the Police from the Western Region as part of the 10th Annual Wall to Wall Police Remembrance ride. Every day the members of the NSW Police Force go to work not knowing what to expect, sadly some never come home from their shift. To the Police right across Barwon, stay safe out there and thank you for what you do.

This week I am heading back into Parliament, following the events of last week its sure to be heavy on the politicking.

Check on your strong friends, check on your quiet friends, check on your happy friends, check on each other.

Roy

Killarney Bike Classic

27th September 2020

The Killarney Bike Classic started six years ago to raise funds for our local cancer groups and also as a way to remember a local farmer and grazier, Mark Lampe who rode from Killarney Gap to Sawn Rocks with a group of friends for an Easter get together with their families. Less than three months later, Mark lost his short battle with cancer. Mark grew up in Narrabri and loved the district. He would be so proud of the effort and support from so many people that will help make other families lives a little bit easier when they have to face the battle with cancer.
