Solar Still Makes Sense in 2020

Solar Still Makes Sense in 2020

Solar Energy in Australia has been a story of significant growth over the decade. Since 2009 cumulative capacity of Solar in Australia has grown from nearly zero to 18,583,305 KWs in June 2020 (as per the Australian PV Institute). To put that into context that is enough power to run an off the shelf light bulb for around 371,666,100 hours. But, is it still worth it to by Solar for your home or Business in 2020?

Hot Kitchen Trends This Year

Hot Kitchen Trends This Year

The kitchen is considered the heart of every home. With everyone forced to stay indoors to slow down the spread of COVID-19, kitchens are seeing more traffic than any place in the house.  In addition to preparing meals, most people prefer to eat, talk, and even work at the kitchen table, a reason you might want to consider a kitchen renovation. Depending on the condition of your kitchen, a few simple upgrades should give it a fresh new look and improved functionality.

We Went to the Daft Punk Album Premiere in Wee Waa, Australia, Pop. 2,100

We Went to the Daft Punk Album Premiere in Wee Waa, Australia, Pop. 2,100

WEE WAA, Australia–The world premiere of the latest Daft Punk album, Random Access Memories, was originally scheduled to take place on May 17 at a farm show in the rural Australian town of Wee Waa, population 2,100. The unconventional choice of locale made worldwide news, as intended. The event (and its marketing) was always about more than just two French guys releasing an album: It was an attempt to breathe life into the idea that a distinct collection of songs could still be relevant in 2013, when digitally downloaded singles dominate and launch dates have become almost meaningless.

WILL DAFT PUNK EVER TOUR AGAIN? HERE'S EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THEIR POSSIBLE RETURN

Will Daft Punk ever tour again? It's the question the world has been asking since the Alive shows in 2006 and 2007. Their live performances are the stuff of legend and the robots' return to festival stages and concert halls is one of the most hotly anticipated events in all of electronic music.

Daft Punk last performed "live" with The Weeknd at the 2017 GRAMMYs. They appeared on stage with the vocalist for a rendition of 'I Feel It Coming', one of the two tracks that the duo produced for The Weeknd's album 'Starboy'. Electronic music has a long history at the GRAMMYs but it wasn't enough to satisfy fans of Daft Punk.

Roy’s Round up

11 May, 2020

Hi Folks,

We are two months into something that will hopefully only happen once in a lifetime. I want to offer my thanks to all of you, the people who have followed the public health advice, and the essential workers who have worked with risks to keep us all safe, and services functioning.

As we move into an easing of some restrictions on Friday 15 May, please remain vigilant with the basic health advice. If you are a business looking to get back to trade, please be safe, and protect your staff and clients.

After the year we’re having it’s important to stop and ask yourself and those around you R U OK?

On 10 September as a Nation we come together and ask that question, but it’s important that we keep asking and keep checking in with each other. Times are getting better in Barwon, the crops are looking great and the stock numbers are back on the rise – but never assume that this means mentally everyone’s OK. So ask the question R U OK? and be prepared to stop, listen and provide support.

This past weekend I have been on the road with the Police from the Western Region as part of the 10th Annual Wall to Wall Police Remembrance ride. Every day the members of the NSW Police Force go to work not knowing what to expect, sadly some never come home from their shift. To the Police right across Barwon, stay safe out there and thank you for what you do.

This week I am heading back into Parliament, following the events of last week its sure to be heavy on the politicking.

Check on your strong friends, check on your quiet friends, check on your happy friends, check on each other.

Roy

Walgett Show

9th and 10th May

2020 Walgett Show Update

While there is still uncertainty with restrictions from COVID-19 a potential date for the 2020 Walgett Show has been found in the 19th-20th September 2020

"While we don't know what will be happening down the track, following discussions of options and also looking at the timing of other local events, the 19th and 20th September is the weekend we could find for a potential postponed Walgett Show this year.

We realise that things are uncertain with COVID-19 and it might  not be possible or safe for a Walgett Show to go ahead at that time, but for now we have a potential new date and will see how things go and keep you posted.

We are thinking of everyone during this challenging time and appreciate the encouragement and assistance from the ASC od NSW and Group 1 (North West Shows) our Showmen's Guild people, Walgett Shire Council and all of our valued supporters and participants and the community".
